Catholic blessings pronounced over a civilly married couple may be arranged in Italy, and Catholic wedding ceremonies in the countryside surrounding the Veneto region – are also possible, where Venetian villas and castles may be rented. Catholic weddings for foreigners in the city of Venice are no longer permitted. Outdoor Catholic weddings are not allowed in Italy, although no restrictions are placed upon symbolic ceremonies.
